I became an orthopaedic surgeon because...

I wanted to be able to take care of all types of patients with a whole spectrum of musculoskeletal problems.

What is the most rewarding part of being an orthopaedic surgeon?

I enjoy taking care of patients and getting them back to an active lifestyle. Nothing is more gratifying than to help someone regain their freedom to be active and even their ability to be independent.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy cycling and staying healthy. I’m still in the military and enjoy serving my country

In what volunteer activities or efforts do you engage that mean the most to you and those you serve?

I run a not-for-profit organization called the Save a Limb Fund. It raises money for patient care, research and international service. The mission work that we do allows patients to receive care that they would not have access to.
