My arm was KILLING ME! I could not exercise, I could not sleep, I could not lift… teaching was an adventure in discomfort most days, and pain in a very few. Massage, Chiropractic, injections, physical therapy… nothing worked.

Dr. Denard at Southern Oregon Orthopedics said I needed surgery, and my gosh, what a difference that made. Post procedure pain was nil, did not need any pain meds, and my recovery was quicker than both the doctor and I expected. The process was explained wonderfully, and I am now pain-free!

My treatment and recovery

The one thing I did not like was ICE. The cold was a pain in my side, but it was the most vital aspect of my recovery. Physical therapy was good, and I pushed myself more than my therapist was happy with, but it all turned out well! The six-week recovery estimate was down to three and a half.

Tip

Keep ice on your injury, but not so much that it turns to frostbite. Do the physical therapy, even though you don't see immediate results!

My Second First

I can interact with my students like I used to. It is wonderful!
