Because of my orthopaedic care, I can return to playing golf and playing with my grandchildren.

A year and a half ago I tore my meniscus because of hyper-extension. Dr. Herron repaired it about 5 months ago and I re-injured that meniscus after dropping down four feet from a ladder. I also had a severe ache in that knee when it was resting. Because I knew it was the meniscus and it was confirmed by Dr. Herron, he had me go in for PT. The meniscus pain, especially getting in and out of the car remained, along with some aching, so I went in for surgery. Dr. Herron informed me that when he went in with the scope that he would check for other damage, especially to see what was contributing to the constant ache.

Dr. Herron repaired the meniscus and detected a ‘pothole’ or ‘crater’ in the cartilage on my thigh bone. He performed a microfracture procedure. He told me his success ration was over 85% as long as you followed directions and put no weight on the leg for 6 weeks. I was crawling the walls, counting the hours, but after the 6 weeks and follow-up therapy, I am now once again hitting the golf ball—with no pain. Thank you Dr Herron!
