Because of my orthopaedic care, I can be active. I’m able to walk, work and garden again.

In 2000, I had my first hip surgery. I take surgery very seriously and waited way too long to have it done. Because of my erroded bone, the surgery took 5 hrs (Most take 3 hrs.)

In June of 2002 the hip kept slipping out (3 times). Dr. Redfern had to put in place a collar etc. to keep me from slipping out. I’m now pain free and able to do all my daily chores. It is such a blessing to be able to work and walk again.

In April 2008, I had a stress fracture of my leg bone because I had refused to get knee surgery and my knee was causing my leg to bend out. Again, I waited way too long to get surgery until the fracture forced me into it.

I had the surgery that April and everything is great. I have great mobility and no pain.
I’m 76 years old and I still keep up (clean) my house of 1645 sq ft. I garden and of course it is because of Dr. Fred Redfern’s ability to fix my left knee and right hip.

I’m active and I can do all this because of the great work of Dr. Redfern and his people. I also drive and get out daily.

If I didn’t have these surgeries, I would be unable to live as active of a life that I do. I can’t say enough about orthopaedic surgery being a blessing for elderly people.
