I was 64 at the time when I started having pains on my right side. Since I have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, I decided to see a specialist in NY as to what was causing the pain and what my options were. I started with shots as my son’s wedding was coming up and eventually had hip replacement surgery.

My treatment and recovery

I was very pleased with the surgeon and hospital but my recovery took longer than expected as the outcome produced pain which did not subside. My surgeon ran new tests and the results led me to seeing other specialists for 3 additional surgeries on other parts of my body. This was over a period of 20 months until I was fully able to feel good and resume any activities.

You should keep in mind choosing a hospital and surgeon with experience in the field of surgery that you may need.

My Second First

I resumed walking, going to the gym and even took up bike riding.
