I had years of lower back pain and stiffness that progressed to the point that I could no longer walk for any length of time or exercise at all. I saw numerous doctors and even a physiatrist who prescribed physical therapy, but there was no improvement. The pain down my leg was so intense that it affecting my bodily functions.

My treatment and recovery

After being the hospital for 4-5 days, I was moved to Advocate Lutheran General Rehabilitation floor where I received physical and occupational therapy for one week. I truly believe that the care I received there, was key in my recovery. When I got home, I continued with my exercises and was back at work in 8 weeks, though I did wear a brace for four months following.

My Second First

Because of my orthopedic care, I have no pain and am able to live a full life - exercising, dancing and walking in nature.
