I became an orthopaedic surgeon because...
I love restoring people’s lives and health through safe, enduring joint replacements
What is the most rewarding part of being an orthopaedic surgeon?
Great marriage between biology and engineering. The best of both disciplines. I love process improvement and adult joint reconstruction desperately needed radical innovation – Zero in on Zero to eliminate virtually all complications and readmissions!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I adore my family. We enjoy a nearby lake house getaway. I travel with our foundation (Sustainable Medical Missions) focused on better ridding the entire world of neglected diseases.
In what volunteer activities or efforts do you engage that mean the most to you and those you serve?
Service through local church. Serving on NGO boards. Mission trips and world village eduction to empower the neglected populations to solve their own problems.
Stories related to Dr. Mark Snyder
Because of my orthopaedic care, I can sit on the floor with my grand children, getting up and down without holding onto support; go up and down stairs without hanging onto the railing and without "one footing" each step; be on my feet, either standing or walking, without pain or time limitation; and, once again, water ski.
