Because of my orthopedic care, I can walk without pain again, and I was able to actually walk at my graduation in normal shoes. This feat may not seem significant to some, but for me, a teenage girl with twisted, deformed feet and some of the ugliest shoes imaginable, it was a milestone marking the first of what will be many achievements in an arduous journey.
